What we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or process personal information on a server. There are no accounts, no email addresses, and no profiles. We do not run analytics, advertising, or any other third-party tracking on the site.

What happens in your browser

Angle Finder runs entirely in your browser. Motion and orientation sensor data (where your device supports it), camera frames (only when you enable the camera), manual entries, and saved readings are read and processed on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Permissions

Motion access and camera access are requested only when you trigger them, from a user action. Each has a manual fallback: if you decline a permission, the protractor, camera from a photo, and manual entry keep working, so the tool never breaks.

Local storage

Readings, preferences (such as theme and units), and cached app files are stored locally on your device through the browser's storage and service worker cache. These can be cleared at any time using your browser settings, and no one but you can read them.

Cookies

Angle Finder does not use cookies. There is nothing to accept or decline.

Third parties

The site is served as static files and may be cached by your browser or a content delivery network. The page loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means a request for that stylesheet is made to Google. We do not send them measurement data. If you do not want that request made, block third-party requests in your browser; the tool still works.

Retention

There is no user data on any server of ours to retain or delete, because none is collected. Local copies live only on your device until you clear them.

Children

Angle Finder is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, because it collects no information at all.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
